Celebrating Head Chef Kosta

Friday, July 21, 2017 - 12:36pm

Victory is always on the menu for our hardworking Head Chef Kosta – you’ve probably seen him at both of our Jamesons locations with a big smile on his face. If you’ve tried our delicious food here at Jamesons, Kosta is the mastermind behind it all! Kosta has been with the Jamesons family for almost a decade and he brings such love and passion to the ‘plate’ every single day in our kitchen. His sizzling passion to create delicious quality comfort food is noticed in every tasty bite from our scrumptious dishes. Kosta sources all our ingredients locally from farms, bakery’s and ranches as we believe in supporting local wherever we can. Every item on our menu has been thoughtfully prepared to perfection, and Kosta is always preparing new and delicious dishes to bring onto our diverse and mouthwatering menu. Thank you Kosta for all of the hard work you do – you are such an integral part of the heart and soul of our company!

We love Fratello!

Wednesday, July 19, 2017 - 1:06pm

Jamesons proudly supports many local vendors including Fratello. Fratello is a Calgary and family based coffee roaster that started in 1974. The Prefontaine family initially operated out of the family’s garage and basement in their early days. Founder Cam and his three sons have grown the business over the years and we are so proud of how far they have come. We are delighted to support the Prefontaine family, Fratello, and all of our local vendors!

Show your support for Symons Valley Ranch, #supportlocal

Wednesday, February 1, 2017 - 10:42am

Last week a fire completely destroyed Symons Valley Ranch – there is literally nothing left. 32 farmers market vendors sold goods at Symons Valley Ranch. That’s 32 families that depended on that income for their livelihood and to support their families.

We have teamed up with our local brewery partners to raise some money to help these vendors out in a time of need.

For the month of February at Jamesons Brentwood and Jamesons 17th Ave, $1 from every 18 oz pour of Half Hitch, Wildrose, Village & Big Rock products will go towards the 32 farmers market vendors that were affected.

Jamesons Pubs is a huge fan of the Tragically Hip and we wanted to give back somehow to recognize and support lead singer Gord Downie's fight with terminal brain cancer. Downie announced in May that he has an aggressive form of cancer called glioblastoma and has chosen to spend the rest of his days touring for a farewell summer tour. We think its extremely inspiring that hes living out his days doing what he loves.

We got our hands on some pretty awesome seats to Tragically Hip tomorrow and would love to share the love and have one of our loyal facebook fans win Four tickets to the show! In order to win, you have to like our Facebook Page, share our contest post, like the post, and comment on the post the three friends that you would bring. Please ensure your post share is public in order to qualify!

We are encouraging everyone to make any type of donation to the Canadian Cancer Society at the link below to support lead singer Gord Downie and his battle with terminal brain cancer:

You can private message us on Facebook proof of your donation to heighten your chances of winning! The contest is running between both of our Facebook pages for Jamesons so please check it out!
